Container Candle

Flake soy wax features a moderate melting point and fast melting rate, making it ideal for both manual wax pouring and automated assembly-line batch production. It is user-friendly, generates little to no waste, and is particularly suitable for container candles.

Granular soy wax offers excellent fluidity and high mixing uniformity. It blends smoothly with essential oils, pigments and other wax components, precisely fulfilling customized formulations for aromatherapy candles and craft candles. This type is well-suited for moulded and pillar candles.

Block soy wax has high density and stable performance in storage and transportation. It is specially designed for large‑scale industrial production and long‑term inventory stocking, with outstanding cost‑effectiveness. It is mainly applied in the manufacturing of container candles.

Characteristic

The Melting point can be customized from 40-60 degrees. It is developed mainly for artistic candles, especially suitable for candles in transparent containers. Characteristics:The product is manufactured with pure vegetable fats, through hydrogenation, esterification and formulation. Candles made with it stick to container well, surface smooth, no grease, no crack, no fume, no smell. They burn well and environment-friendly.

Key Characteristics & Properties

Soy wax is a hydrogenated vegetable wax with a creamy, off‑white appearance and smooth, non‑grainy texture, ideal for producing visually attractive finished products. It has a moderate melting point ranging from 40°C to 58°C, remaining solid at room temperature while melting evenly when heated – ensuring consistent candle combustion and easy processing in personal care formulations.

Soy wax delivers excellent fragrance retention, holding higher scent loadings than petroleum‑based waxes and releasing aroma slowly and uniformly. It also features good mouldability and adhesion, conforming to various container shapes without cracking and bonding well to substrates. Furthermore, soy wax is non‑toxic, hypoallergenic and free from harsh chemicals, making it safe for direct skin contact and indoor use.

Production Process

Soy wax is produced through a sustainable, low‑environmental‑impact process that preserves its natural qualities, with key stages including oil extraction, hydrogenation and purification.

High‑quality soybeans are first cleaned, crushed and processed to extract crude soybean oil via mechanical pressing or solvent extraction. Mechanical pressing is preferred for premium grades as it eliminates chemical residues and preserves natural components.

The soybean oil then undergoes controlled hydrogenation, where unsaturated fatty acids are converted to saturated fatty acids under regulated temperature and pressure, raising the wax’s melting point and hardness.

Following hydrogenation, the product is refined via filtration, bleaching and deodorization to remove impurities, residual oils and odours, yielding pure, consistent soy wax. The overall process uses minimal harsh chemicals, complies with green manufacturing standards, and by‑products such as glycerin can be reused in other industries.

Application Scope

Soy wax’s versatility and safety support a wide range of applications, with its primary use in the candle industry. It is extensively used in container candles, pillar candles and tealights, either alone or blended with other natural waxes such as beeswax and coconut wax to improve performance. Its clean‑burning characteristics – producing very little soot and smoke – make it highly popular among luxury and eco‑friendly candle brands.

Beyond candles, soy wax is widely used in cosmetics and personal care products including lip balms, lotions, body butters and solid perfumes, due to its moisturising and emollient properties that nourish the skin. It also serves as a natural coating in food packaging to extend the shelf life of fruits, vegetables and baked goods, and is used in wood care products such as polishes to protect and condition surfaces without toxic residues.

Environmental Friendliness

As a plant‑based wax, soy wax is inherently eco‑friendly and offers substantial advantages over petroleum‑based alternatives such as paraffin. It is 100% biodegradable, decomposing naturally in the environment without leaving toxic residues or contaminating soil and water.

Soybean cultivation is sustainable, requiring relatively low levels of pesticides and fertilisers. As a nitrogen‑fixing crop, soybeans also help improve soil structure and fertility. Unlike paraffin, soy wax does not release harmful compounds such as benzene and toluene when burned, supporting healthier indoor air quality and lower environmental impact.

Its production process generates less waste, and the renewable nature of soybeans ensures a stable, sustainable raw material supply, positioning soy wax as a preferred choice for brands committed to environmental responsibility.

Core Advantages

Soy wax distinguishes itself from other waxes through a unique combination of performance, safety and sustainability benefits. It provides superior fragrance retention and release compared to petroleum‑based waxes, enhancing the sensory experience of scented products.

Its non‑toxic, hypoallergenic profile makes it suitable for sensitive skin and indoor environments, broadening its application potential. Compared with other natural waxes such as beeswax, soy wax is more economical and readily available, supporting cost‑efficient large‑scale production.

Additionally, its smooth texture and excellent mouldability enable flexible product design, allowing brands to develop diverse, high‑quality items that meet consumer demand for natural, safe and eco‑conscious solutions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

FNAT has implemented a professional quality inspection system covering the entire supply chain – from raw material receiving, production and processing to finished product delivery. Each batch of soy wax undergoes multiple tests to ensure key indicators including melting point, solidification point, purity and burning performance fully comply with relevant standards.

We can provide a complete set of compliance documentation, including quality inspection reports, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), TDS (Technical Data Sheets) and updated marine transport certificates. These support customs clearance, export procedures, product registration and quality traceability in both domestic and international markets, helping customers expand globally with full compliance confidence.
